Isabel Crawford (American, 1886-1973). Watercolor and gouache on paper painting depicting a landscape with a mountain and lake. Like many talented women of her time, Isabel Crawford balanced a commercial art and fine art career. Crawford was known for her exceptional talent during her time at the Minnesota School of Art (now Minneapolis College of Art and Design) and served as the Art Director of the Mac Marin Advertising Agency. Although she was based mainly in New York and Minnesota, her landscapes were often inspired by Europe and Scandinavia. Sight; height: 10 1/2 in x width: 13 1/2 in.
