The artist inherited a deep appreciation of wood from his father, a carpenter and boat builder. Mascoll's wood vessels are held by numerous collections including the Smithsonian. His work was also included in the Smithsonian's 2022-2023 exhibition "This Present Moment: Crafting a Better Future," which showcased the dynamic landscape of American craft today.
