The Whites Pottery, Utica, New York, USA. Antique stoneware pitcher with a cartouche along one side depicting three American Revolution minutemen and another on the other side depicting a profile portrait of a Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, a Prussian officer who helped the U.S. during the Revolutionary War. It was likely made for the 1876 centennial held in Philadelphia. Impressed mark "4" along the underside.
Height: 9 in x width: 8 3/4 in.
