Torch, medal, and donor plaque for the 1990 US Olympic Festival, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The festival, which ran from 1978-1995, was designed to help American athletes hone their competition skills and compete with their Soviet counterparts in international competitions. The 1990 festival attracted over 3,000 athletes from across the United States, including Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Shaquille O'Neal.
