Umetaro Azechi (Japanese, 1902-1999). Woodblock print titled "Akai Boshi (Red Hat)" depicting a man in a red hat holding a bird. Pencil signed along the lower right; dated 1963 and titled along the lower left. Along the verso there is a sticker for "Yoseido Gallery" in Tokyo.

The print is in generally good condition with no visible tears or major creases or losses. The paper is toned and browned. Along the margins, there are light creases. To the upper right corner, there is a minute loss, which does not affect the center image. Very light chipping to the upper and lower margins. To the lower right corner, there is a circular brown mark; please see the listing image. To the center image, there are areas that the underlying paper is seen through; however, it appears to be original. Along the verso, the paper is toned and browned; the ink is transmitted from the recto. No visible sign of restoration under UV light.
