Group of hand-painted porcelain dishes, possibly Limoges, France. The set includes 11 plates and five tazzas or compotes - two high and three low. Each with a scalloped gilt rim and with a painted orchid along the center of the dish. The compotes with a tripod base, each leg decorated with a whale.

The set is in generally good condition. All items have light wear throughout as expected. Several items have very light discoloration to the surface, consistent with their age. One plate with major restorations along the underside; it was likely a part of a tazza but became disattached from the base and there was an attempt to reattach it to the base that did not hold; overspraying and glue throughout the rim at the point of restoration. One of the high tazzas has a sticker affixed along the exterior; it has a visible firing flaw to the underside. Two of the low tazzas have minor crazing to the underside of the plate; they have two lines of cracks to the underside. One low tazza with a restoration where the plate meets the base and overspraying along the underside; glue residue visible where the base meets the underside of the plate; hairline crack along the flower visible from the top. Several plates have minute losses to the paint as expected from their use and age; wear to the underside. Please contact us for a detailed condition report. The purchaser’s obligation to pay immediately the full purchase price is absolute and unconditional and is not subject to any defenses, setoffs or counterclaims of any kind whatsoever. Revere Auctions is not obligated to release a lot to the purchaser until title to the lot has passed. The purchaser agrees to pay Revere Auctions handling charge of $30 for any check dishonored by the drawee.
SHIPPING

This is at the request, expense, and risk of the Buyer, and Revere Auctions assumes no responsibility for the items or the timing of delivery. Insurance for in transit items is the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer must reach out to a shipping company to arrange shipping.
