Russian silver gilt champleve enamel picture case profusely decorated along the exterior and interior with scrolling floral and foliate motifs. The exterior in lovely shades of blue and red and the interior with pastel pinks and blues. With the mark of Antip Kuzmichev, Moscow, 1890 along the interior.
Height: 1 in x width: 3 in x depth: 4 in. The case is in generally good condition; no major dents, cracks, or chips. Light wear throughout the case. There is enamel loss to the clip along its side. Along its inner side, there are some areas of oxidation; there are some black accretions. One of the oval rings along the interior of the case has been repaired slightly askew, so the ring and the frame do not match up perfectly; there is a minute loss to the light blue enamel on the oval right; there is a glue residue visible underneath the oval ring, which seems to be a restoration attempt.
