Frederick Hurton Rhead (American, 1880-1942) for Roseville Pottery, United States. Tall studio pottery ceramic umbrella planter vase vessel or pot depicting peacocks perched amid trees on a deep blue matte ground, late 19th to 20th century. With a flared footrim atop wide tripod feet. Bands of painted vines and floral motifs along the neck and footrim. Pencil signed and carved "724" along the underside.
Height: 20 in x diameter: 9 1/2 in.
There are several large cracks and restorations that are apparent when viewed under UV light. Crazing throughout. Wear along the footrim. Dust and debris gathered along the interior.
