Peter Shoemaker (American, 1920-1998). Oil on board titled "Cold Eye," 1968, depicting an abstract expressionist portrait of a man in gray. Two windows are seen in the background, one pure white and another with blue. Titled, signed, and dated '68 along the verso.
Peter Shoemaker studied at UC Berkeley and the California School of Fine Arts. He went on to teach at the California College of Arts and Crafts and has had one man exhibitions at California Palace of the Legion of Honor and the Oakland Art Museum.
