Peter Shoemaker (American, 1920-1998). Oil on masonite board abstract expressionist painting with red and black lines against a white background in thick impasto. Signed and dated '63 along the lower left.
Peter Shoemaker studied at UC Berkeley and the California School of Fine Arts. He went on to teach at the California College of Arts and Crafts and has had one man exhibitions at California Palace of the Legion of Honor and the Oakland Art Museum.
