Henrietta Dunn Mears (American, 1877-1970). Watercolor on paper painting depicting a lovely bouquet with red and pink roses. Pencil signed along the lower right. Mears was active and lived in St. Paul, Minnesota. She studied at the St. Paul Institute, which is a predecessor to both the Minnesota Museum of American Art (The M) and the Science Museum of Minnesota. Additionally, she exhibited at the Minnesota State Fair in 1927.

Condition
No visible tears, creases, or losses. No visible sign of restoration under UV light. The sheet is very lightly toned; assuming from the browned mat, it seems possible for the sheet to have an acidic burn. The color is bold and bright. Framed under plexiglass; not inspected out of frame. The verso is not inspected.
