David Alfaro Siqueiros (Mexican, 1896-1974). Lithograph on paper titled "Zapata," 1930, depicting an equestrian portrait of the leader of the Mexican Revolution, Emiliano Zapata (1878-1919). After Zapata's assassination, he became a powerful symbol of progressive politics, which Siqueiros promoted through his works. Siqueiros Editioned "E/E" in pencil along the lower left. Signed and dated 1930 in pencil along the lower right.
