Currier and Ives was founded by Nathaniel Currier (American, 1813-1888) in 1835 as "the Grand Central Depot for Cheap and Popular Prints," but changed its name with the addition of James Merritt Ives (American, 1824-1895) in 1857. The company created over 7000 popular lithographs depicting American life until 1907.

Condition

No visible tears, creases, or losses. The sheet is toned. A few spots of foxing throughout. Some soiling along the extreme edges. Some foxing/soiling along the verso. The word "Egg" is written in pencil along the verso. The work is not framed. No signs of restoration when viewed under UV light. The work is not framed.
