Carlo Bugatti (Italian,1856-1940). Wooden plinth or stand, partially ebonized and painted wood with bone and steel inlay. The stand features two shelves raised on four turned and stepped columns; the top shelf with graceful arched skirting that shows Bugatti's inspiration from North African architecture. With geometric bone and wood decoration contrasting with graceful floral and bird inlays.
