Group of six sterling and silver compotes or tazzas and one basket. The basket is silverplate. The five compotes are sterling; all marked along the underside. Manufacturers include Gorham, J.S. & Co., and Preisner Silver Co. The basket and four compotes with pierced details; two compotes monogrammed along the bowl.
Height ranges from 1 1/2 in to 6 1/4 in. Diameter ranges from 5 1/2 in to 9 in. Gross weight of sterling (including two weighted compotes): 27.560 Troy oz. The items are in generally good condition with no major dents, or visible losses or cracks. No visible sign of restoration when inspected under UV light. Discoloration as shown in the listing image. A few scattered areas with old polish as expected. Wear throughout. Second to the left in the back row has a minute dent to the underside; minute dents throughout the base; to the interior of the plate, there is an area that is very lightly bent. The compote, far left in the back row in the listing image, has an area that is very slightly bent.
