Group of six lithographs from the Martin Gallery's "Survival Editions" produced by six Midwest artists, 1971. Each 44 out of limited edition of 100. With the original packaging. Including:
Hugh Kappel (American, 1910-1982). Lithograph on paper titled "Dawn" depicting a brightly colored abstract scene, 1971. Pencil signed along the lower right; numbered 44/100 along the lower left; titled along the lower center.

Brian F. Leo (American, b. 1940). Lithograph on paper titled "In the Capitan Mountains" depicting an abstract scene in deep red, 1971. Pencil signed along the lower right; numbered 44/100 along the lower center; titled along the lower left.

Gordon Mortensen (American, b. 1938). Untitled lithograph on paper depicting a still life of vegetables, 1971. Pencil signed and dated along the lower right; numbered 44/100 along the lower center.

Carl A. Grupp (American, 1939-2019). Untitled lithograph on paper depicting a juggling clown in a surreal room, 1971. Pencil signed along the lower right edge; numbered 44/100 along the lower left edge.

Gerald E. Martin (American, b. 1941). Lithograph on paper titled "Saxon" depicting abstract shapes, 1971. Pencil signed along the lower right; titled and numbered 44/100 along the lower left.

Jerry Rudquist (American, 1934-2001). Untitled lithograph on paper an abstract shape in black and white with seven views of the object below it in blue, 1971. Pencil signed and numbered 44/100 along the lower right.

Envelope; height: 12 in x width: 15 1/2 in. Prints; height: 11 1/4 in x width: 15 in.

Condition

None of the prints have tears, losses, or restorations. All prints have light wear along the deckled edges, some minute creases along the corners or along the edges from handling. The prints by Rudquist and Martin have a few scattered areas of foxing throughout. The print by Mortensen is unevenly toned. There is a larger crease along the lower left and upper right edges of the Leo print. There is a streak of soiling where it appears something rubbed against the print along the upper right corner of the Martin print. All unframed. Wear to the packaging material as expected from age and use.
