Group of two Huntington redware ceramic pottery footed jars of ovoid form with flared rims and applied handles. Glazed stoneware. Each with incised ring decoration. One jar with daubs of manganese throughout.
Red; height: 9 1/2 in x diameter: 8 in. Green; height: 9 in x diameter: 7 1/2 in.
Both jars are in good condition in general. Both did not show a sign of restoration under UV light. Wear throughout both pieces. Surface bubbles throughout both pieces due to firing flaws, original to the artistic practice. The brown jar, captured right in lot listing, has a major firing flaw that measures 3/4 inch; there are 4 minute chips on its side; there are 8 minute chips to the rim; there is a 1/4 inch long chip to its footrim; Along the underside, there are two cracks, each measures 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch. The red jar, captured left, has a network of cracks on its underside- length ranges from 1/2 inch to 2 inch; there are multiple minute chips and two major chips, 1/2 inch and 1 inch long, along the foot rim; wear to the rim; there are multiple minute chips along the rim; there is a 1/2 inch chip to the rim. The purchaser’s obligation to pay immediately the full purchase price is absolute and unconditional and is not subject to any defenses, setoffs or counterclaims of any kind whatsoever. Revere Auctions is not obligated to release a lot to the purchaser until title to the lot has passed. The purchaser agrees to pay Revere Auctions handling charge of $30 for any check dishonored by the drawee.
SHIPPING
Revere Auctions does NOT offer in-house shipping. As a convenience to the Buyer, Revere Auctions will make a referral for packing and shipping. This is at the request, expense, and risk of the Buyer, and Revere Auctions assumes no responsibility for the items or the timing of delivery. Insurance for in transit items is the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer must reach out to a shipping company to arrange shipping.
