Gorham sterling silver two-handled trophy cup or chalice with a square base. Etched along one side with "Presented to Hon. James J. Hill at the opening of the auditorium January 5th, 1915 by the citizens of Fargo, N.D. as a mark of their esteem and in appreciation of his many efforts on their behalf." Impressed along the underside with Gorham silver marks, sterling, 8A, a clover, and 5 pints.
