Warren Mackenzie (American, 1924-2018). Large studio pottery ceramic bowl. Stoneware with white glaze. Warren MacKenzie was a renowned Minnesota studio potter. A student of Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada, he is credited with bringing the functional Mingei tradition to the United States, and spreading it through his own art and mentorship of students during his long tenure at the University of Minnesota. Height: 4 1/2 in x diameter: 10 1/2 in.
