George III teapot by Thomas Harper II, English. One sterling silver teapot with Greek key detail and silver handle with leaf form thumb rest, the lid with flush hinges and decorative finial, the teapot on four spherical feet. Marked along the bottom with the lion passant guardant, crowned leopard's head for London, date letter O for 1809 and London duty mark. Marker's mark TH for Thomas Harper II. Also marked a the underside of lid with the lion passant guardant and date letter O.
Height: 6 1/8 in x width: 11 in depth: 5 1/4 in. Gross weight: 21.800 Troy oz.
Significant dent near the handle, smaller dents, light scratches and wear throughout. Accretions and tarnishing to the recessed areas, old sticker residue to the underside.
