Russian silver enamel inlaid cigarette case. With enamel scrollwork, flowers, and beadwork borders. Impressed along both sides with maker's marks "AH", likely for August Wilhelm Holmstrom or his son Albert, an 88 zolotnik, and an illegible seal.
Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Height: 4 in x width: 3 1/4 in x depth: 1 in. Gross weight: 252.6 g.

The case has light wear consistent with age and use. There do not appear to be any major losses to the enamel decoration. No restorations when inspected under UV light. The lid opens and closes smoothly; however, the lid does shut completely.
