Ralph Rapson (American, 1914-2008) for Ralph Rapson, Inc., United States. Mid-century modern style high-back, greenbelt "Rocker" rocking armchair with wooden maple frame and natural cream colored cotton bands. First designed in 1941 as an entry for a prestigious design competition sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), "Organic Design in Home Furnishings." Embossed signature along the back support bar. This is a newer edition.

No major chips, cracks, losses, or restorations. Light wear to the underside of the rockers as expected with light use. No visible stains.
