Shapely Chinese porcelain brush pot with carved and lacquered wood stand, possibly Qing dynasty. With gilt rim and pigment depicting a mountainous village landscape along one side and a birds roosting among a cherry blossom tree along the verso. Painted mark along the underside, possibly reading "Qianlong Period Make."
(Not including stand) Height: 4 3/4 in x width: 3 1/2 in x depth: 2 1/2 in.
There are no major chips or cracks. There are losses to the gilt along the top rim. There is heavy wear to the footrim. There are no signs of restoration under UV light.
