Photograph depicting a gathering of Native Americans in Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota, circa June 1928. An inscription in ink along the verso identifies many of the sitters in the photo. The inscription reads:
"Two Teepees in Background - June 1928. Minnehaha Park, Minneapolis, Minn. Left to Right:
1. Percy Little Dog; 2. Owen Henry Breast; 3. Two Guns White Calf, Blood Indian, Canada; 4. [blank]; 5. Crow Chief; 6. Eagle Calf; 7. Day Rider; 8. Dusty Bull; 9. Princess Moon Women; 10. Mike Short Man; 11. [White Inver?]; 12. Bind Rattler; 13. Short Face; 14. Middle Rider; 15. Black Weasel; 16. Weasel Tail, Blood Indian, Canada; 17. [Blank]; 18. Bird Earrings; 19. Yellow Kidney"

The list then starts over at number one and reads:
"1. Mrs. Eagle Calf; 2. Mrs. Owen Henry Breast, Blood Indian, Canada; 3. [Blank]; 4. Nellie Day Rider; 5. Mrs. Day Rider; 6. Mrs. Crow Chief; 7. Mrs. Black Weasel; 8. Mrs. Middle Rider; 9. Mrs. Yellow Kidney; 10. [Blank]; 11. Mrs. Bird Earrings"

Height: 9 1/2 in x width: 19 in. The photograph has multiple creases throughout it. Each edge curls upwards. Both of these issues indicate that the photograph was rolled at some point. There are two notable tears along the edges of the work, both along creases: the first is along the lower edge and extends upwards 3/4" upwards towards the individual seated third from the right; the second tear extends downwards from the upper edge approx. 3/4" along the upper right - the tear is located about 2" from the right edge. There are scratches and areas of stress to the emulsion throughout the work. The ink along the verso has faded but is still visible. Soiling along the verso.
