The work is additionally dated along the lower left, though only the first three numbers are able to be discerned, ca. 1830s. Label affixed to verso; an additional label from Phillips auction house affixed to the verso.

Sight; height: 9 1/2 in x width: 9 1/2 in. Framed; height: 13 1/2 in x width: 13 1/2 in. Craquelure is present throughout the piece. Minimal flecks of overpainting present under a UV light. Minute losses to the paint are present, mainly found along the upper right corner. There is discoloration of the paint. There are a few tiny areas of loss to the frame edges near each corner, with an overall light to moderate wear to the frame.
