Large Chinese Han Dynasty ceramic hu wine vessel in the form of bronze and lacquer prototypes. With a wide mouth, articulated rim, and an amber glaze characteristic of vessels of this period. The sides with incised decoration and taotie mask handles.
Height: 15 in x diameter: 13 1/2 in. The vessel is in good condition overall. There is a chip to the rim, as well as a few small chips to the body and foot of the vessel. There are no visible cracks or repairs. There is some crazing to the glaze throughout. Surface wear throughout. Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
