John Wilde (American, 1919-2006). Silverpoint, wash, and pencil drawing titled "Portrait of Huge Black" depicting somewhat surreal portrait of Hugo Lafayette Black (American, 1886-1971) seated in robes. Black served as a U.S. Senator in Alabama from 1927 to 1937 and as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1937 to 1971. Dated along the upper right. With a quote from Black reading "No Law Means No Law" along the lower center.
