Hasui Kawase (Japanese, 1883-1957). Woodblock print titled "Evening Moon at Itako" depicting a house at the water's edge with a low moon hanging over the dramatic nocturnal landscape. Seal in print along the lower left of the image.
Sight; height: 15 1/2 in x width: 11 in. Framed; height: 22 in x width: 17 1/2 in x depth: 1/2 in.
There are no visible tears, creases, losses, or restorations. The colors are bold and deep. The sheet is toned. There is acidic burn around the perimeter of the image inside the plate. A few small spots of foxing to the edges. Framed under a cloth-wrapped mat. Framed under glass. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
