Chinese carved jade fish. Black to dark brown inclusions visible along one side; the other side with slightly translucent grayish-green jade. Form and Carving style suggest a Ming Date. With fine incised lines throughout. The careful carving of the fish with one side brown and the other green may be trying to emulate a cooked fish.

Light wear throughout, especially along the head of the fish. Scratches and minute losses/chips throughout, possibly natural to the formation of the stone. There is a hole along the top near the dorsal fin, likely for a cord or chain. Sharpie numbers written along the underside.
