Chinese blue and white porcelain snuff bottle. Painted with a scene of a goat herder in a landscape with a calm lake in the background. This bottle likely dates from the 20th century.

Provenance: Private Minneapolis Collection - collected in China prior to 1985.
Height: 3 3/4 in x diameter: 1 1/4 in. There are no major cracks and no signs of restoration under UV light. There is light wear and minute firing flaws throughout. There is a small chip along the top of the bottle. There is an accretion along the metal rim around the lid. There is an adhesive accretion along the body just above a small sticker. There are two stickers along the underside. There is light wear to the footrim, consistent with age and use.
