The painting has areas of creasing, toning throughout, and some surface soiling. The paper along the top and bottom of the scroll is in poor condition with tears and losses throughout; the paper is brittle in these areas. Evidence of moisture exposure along the verso throughout. The scroll is missing one scroll end. The top bar of the scroll is detached.
