Bidou Yamaguchi (born Yamaguchi Hiroki) (Japanese, b. 1970). Noh mask depicting the devil or demon Hannya. Carved wood with pigments, lacquer, gofun, and gilt metal. Impressed along the inside with Yamaguchi's mark. With a storage and display case.

Unframed; height: 8 in x width: 7 1/2 in x depth: 4 in. Boxed; height: 12 in x width: 10 in x depth: 5 in. There are no cracks, chips, losses, or restorations. There is some brittleness to the paint layer; there are a few areas of flaking or small losses to the paint layer along the left ear, upper left edge, and the eyebrow ridges. A few areas of paint losses along the top of the horns. Lacking the wire for display.
