19th century Chinese silk embroidered wedding altar frontal. Yellow with intricately embroidered blue, black, and white flowers. Further bordered with repeating floral and foliate scrollwork. Along the lower edge there are waves and rocks.

There are no major rips, tears, or losses. The colors are faded and muted. There is discoloration and staining throughout; there are large pink stains along the lower edge. There is evidence of moisture exposure throughout. There is light fraying in some areas. Along the back there is discoloration and a few areas of slight threadbare material. Some light fraying along the edges. There are minute holes along the upper margin. Discoloration from the metal hoops along the top edge.
