Walter A. Sinz (1881-1966). Carved wood sculpture titled "Daphne," depicting the mythical Daphne's transformation into a tree. Signed and titled on a card attached to the verso. Sinz was a Cleveland, Ohio artist and teacher and also worked at Cowan Pottery.
