Wah Kee Wu (20th century). Oil on silk painting in traditional Chinese style with romantic overtones depicting flowering branches leaning over a pond with birds resting and fish swimming in the water. Signed along the upper left. Wah Kee Wu was the protege of Hiroshi Honda, the foremost exponent of the Bokkotsu School. Wu is noted for his exquisite ornithological rendering in the natural environment.
