Victorian bovine hoof inkwell. The inset glass inkwell and hoof are mounted with gilt metal.

The hoof inkwell is in generally good condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or losses to the upper side of the hoof. Along the underside of the hoof, half of the surface is uneven, possibly original to the piece; wear throughout the underside, consistent with age and use. Discoloration and wear to the clothes that are covering the hoof; no major tears or losses. The glass inkwell is loosely attached to the hoof; there is light oxidation to the metal parts. No visible chips or cracks to the glass. The lid is not attached to the inkwell. Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
