Toshinobu Onosato (Japanese, 1912-1986). Oil on canvas painting depicting an intricately created and vibrant geometric composition in blues and oranges, 1968. Signed and dated along the verso.

Provenance: Yamada Art Gallery, Kyoto, Japan; Private Minnesota Collection.

Unframed; height: 11 3/4 in x width: 11 3/4 in. Framed; height: 13 1/4 in x width: 13 1/4 in x depth: 1 in.

The colors are bold and bright and the surface is stable. There are extremely minute white spots throughout which may be tiny losses or accretions. Light wear along the extreme edges. The inner frame is slightly loose from main frame.
