Tony Pena (American (San Ildefonso Pueblo), 1898-1984) and Juanita Montoya Pena (American (San Ildefonso Pueblo), 1900-1987). Southwest Native American San Ildefonso Pueblo early decorated blackware pottery bowl, ca. 1920s-30s. Marked "Tony & Juanita S.I.P." along the underside. Tony and Juanita began their pottery endeavors by making black-on-black ware pottery and by the 1930s had carved designs on their pots. They continued to make pottery into the 1950s.
