Theodora Brown, an artist based in Anoka, Minnesota, studied art in Los Angeles and married commercial artist Leslie Brown. She exhibited widely, including at venues like the Rainbow Cafe and the Minnesota State Fair, showcasing her portraits, landscapes, and still lives. Known for her modernist style, Brown's work often depicted scenes from the North Shore and Montana, with a notable piece acquired by LC Arts in 2019. Throughout her career, she remained active in the local art community, teaching and participating in various associations until her passing in 1992.

Unframed; height: 19 1/4 in x width: 26 in. Framed; height: 30 in x width: 23 in x depth: 1 1/4 in.

Condition

The colors are bold and bright. The surface is stable. There are no major tears or creases. There are several small losses throughout, in particular a scratch in the upper right quadrant. There is also a loss along the outer edge of the upper right quadrant and the lower edge of the lower left quadrant. There are no signs of restoration under UV light. Not examined out of frame.
