Holmes Smith (20th c) for Teco/Gates Potteries, USA. Roman Salad Bowl, design #400, ca. 1910. Earthenware with matte green glaze. This was a custom piece made for Minnesota architect Roy Childs Jones (1885-1963), and bears his RCJ monogram in low relief along the side.
