Style of Martin Johnson Heade (American, 1819-1904). Oil on canvas mounted on ledger book cover titled "Hunters at Rest," ca. 1862, painting depicting two hunters and their hound resting in the middle of a trail in a field at twilight. Excellent example of Hudson River School and Luminism.
