Sterling silver teapot and sugar bowl of similar ivy leaf pattern.

The teapot heavily decorated with floral and vegetal pattern as well as other swirling details and an armorial crest on the teapot, the lid with an ornate finial. The teapot marked along the side near the handle with the lion passant guardant, the crowned leopard's head for London, date letter S for 1813 and duty mark. Also marked SA for Stephen Adams II. Also marked at the handle with the lion passant guardant and duty mark and marked along the underside of the lid with date letter S and the lion passant guardant.

Sugar bowl with grape and leaf decoration and swirling vegetal handles, with crest and motto "Apertum Me Legas" (open to read) with gilt wash interior. Marked along the exterior near handles with the lion passant guardant, the crowned leopard's head for London, date letter Q for 1811 and duty mark.

(Teapot) Height: 6 1/2 in x width: 11 1/4 in x depth: 5 1/2. (Sugar bowl) Height: 4 3/4 in x width: 8 1/2 in x depth: 5 in. Gross weight: 31.215 Troy oz.

Condition

Teapot: Some dents to the body, wear, and polish accretions and tarnishing to the recessed areas, lid opens and closes smoothly.
Sugar bowl: Several dents wear, and polish accretions and tarnishing to the recessed areas, some fading to gilt washed interior.
