George Smith II and Thomas Hayter, London, England. Large sterling silver tray with two handles and an incised eagle or hawk, 1825. Stamped along the underside with the sterling silver lion passant, date mark, King George IV duty mark, London city mark, and maker's mark.

There are no visible cracks or losses. No major dents. Along the surface of top, there is a network of minute spots with light discoloration; see the listing image. Along the recessed areas, there is light discoloration; see the listing image. Throughout the item, there are surface scratches, particularly along the underside as expected from use. There are no visible signs of restoration under UV light.
