Set of two vintage barrister bookcases. Each with five shelves. The four lower shelves with a single pane of glass framed by wood that lifts and slides back. The top shelf with a multi-paned window. Each window with two metal handles. The bookcases do not come apart.
Each, height: 67 in x width: 36 1/2 in x depth: 14 in.
Condition
The bookcases are in fair condition. They are structurally stable. The doors are all attached and move smoothly in their tracks. One bookcase is lacking three of the magnetic closures for the doors (there should be two per shelf); the other book case is lacking one. Each bookcase has one of the strips along the sides detached (see listing photo); they are present just not attached to the bookcases. Several handles are slightly loose though this could be rectified by screwing them tighter. One bookcase has a slight chip to the top glass panel along the right-most diamond. The glass panes for most are quite dirty/cloudy though it appears they could be cleaned. Scratches throughout. Dust and dirt collected in the recessed areas of the bookcase. General wear throughout consistent with age and use.
