T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings (English, 1905-1976) for Widdicomb, United Kingdom/United States. Set of six mid-century modern walnut and leather Klismos pull up dining chairs. Including four side chairs and two armchairs, ca. 1943-1956.
Each, height: 31 1/2 in x width: 21 in x depth: 17 in.
Condition
All chairs are structurally sound and stable. There is light wear to the legs and light scuffs and scratches throughout. There are a few small chips to the underside of the chair along the stretcher. Some light accretions throughout the wood. The upholstery is in good condition. No cracks or major stains. Along the underside of the feet there are some plastic or metal caps to prevent skidding.
