Scott Seekins (American, 20th/21st c). Pastel on paper drawing titled "The Night" depicting a celestial figure that is being observed by a figure in white in the lower left corner. Shining stars surrounding the center figure along with the vivid abstract background give the work the feeling of a celestial fantasy.

Scott Seekins is an iconic Twin Cities artist who lives and is active in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is most well known for his over 300 self-portraits which he created over the past twenty years. Some are based on historical events, while others portray fantasy relationships with pop music icon Britney Spears.

Condition
No visible tears, creases, or restoration under UV light. The color is bold and bright. Light undulation throughout the recto. The sheet is floating on the mat; all four margins are visible. To four corners, there are several pinholes which are original to the artistic practice. Framed under plexiglass; not inspected out of frame. Light wear to the frame.
