Illustrations are Qajar, ca. 19th century, finely executed in ink, wash, and gold, evoking earlier Safavid images. Rebound ca. 19th century in dark goatskin, possibly at the same time as the illustrations were added. There is a small Perso-Arabic seal impression which reads Nader Muhammad, dated 1252 Hijri (1836/7 CE).
