Robert Philipp (American, 1895-1981). Oil on canvas painting titled "Finale" depicting the ending of a stage play, 1967. Signed along the lower left; further signed, dated, and titled along the verso. In a giltwood frame. Philipp was heavily influenced by the impressionists and post-impressionists and he is often compared to Edgar Degas and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

Condition
There are no tears, losses, or restorations when inspected under UV light. The colors are bold and deep. Some wear to the frame; there are some losses to the gilt along the frame; there are a few minute chips to the wood frame.
