Ricky Kuzuguk (American (Inupiat), b. 1967). Bone carved abstract figural sculpture with an expressive face depicted on its side with looped arms on either side. Signed, inscribed "SHH.AK," and numbered 99772 along the underside. Set on a carved wooden stand. Ricky Kuzuguk was born in the village of Shismaref, Alaska to a father who was also a carver. Keywords: Inupiaq, Alaskan Inuit, Alaskan Native, Eskimo. Height: 9 in x width: 19 in x depth: 12 1/2 in.
