Attributed to F. Luis Mora (1874-1940) for Cowan Pottery, Ohio, USA. Rare Art Deco plate with a colorful design of an ocean liner ship in a glossy glaze. Marked "Cowan" along the underside. F. Luis Mora was an artist who did design work for Cowan Pottery including a series of plates. This particular design is considered rare, as it is not pictured in the Cowan book with this series credited to F. Luis Mora.
